CONGRATULATIONS ON WINNING THE EQUITY AWARD, MR. PEDRO!
At a recent School Board Meeting, Mr. Pedro Mayorga, Restorative Justice Coach at Hillview Junior High School was honored with the School Board's Annual Equity Award. During the presentation, here is just part of what was read about Mr. Mayorga:
"Mr. Mayorga's passion is to motivate staff and students to be their better selves. He inspires kids with his ability to see himself in them. He then leads them to believe in themselves. He is able to truly listen to their struggles and pinpoint the heart of the problem with an empathic ear. Mr. Pedro Mayorga is a concrete example of how no matter what the universe throws at you, you can always overcome it and do better."
