On November 22, 2019 Hillview Jr. High’s 8th graders had the honor of meeting guest speaker/author/Holocaust survivor, Mr. George J. Elbaum. Here’s what Ms. Pineda shared, “For their current unit 8th graders have been learning about the Holocaust and WWII. They learned about the topics through the graphic novel Maus and supplemental articles. This past Friday they were fortunate to meet Holocaust survivor George Elbaum, hear his resilient story, and were able to ask questions about his life.” We thank Mrs. Holz, Ms. Pineda & Ms. Fitzgerald for bringing Mr. Elbaum to Hillview and giving our 8th graders a chance to learn more about the Holocaust and WWII.
