Kindergarten Promotion

Kindergarten Promotion will be taking place in the Multipurpose Room starting at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday June 6, 2017. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Los Medanos Last Day of School will be a minimum day schedule! Please see below for times of dismissal.            

 12:15 pm – Dismissal 1^st – 3^rd grade

 12:30 pm – Dismissal 4^th and 5^th grade

All Early Kinder 8:00-11:30 Tuesday, June 6, 2017 and Wednesday June 7, 2017

5th Grade Promotion

Dear Parents,Students, and Families,

Los Medanos 5^th grade Promotion Ceremony will be taking place on Wednesday June 7, 2017 starting at 9:45 A.M. The ceremony will be taking place outside on the blacktop.

In an effort to celebrate this special occasion and ensure its success, we ask that you please do the following:

• School Uniform: Students must attend school in full uniform and must wear their school uniform during the promotion ceremony. School uniform entails a white or navy blue collared shirt and navy blue pants/skirts. Any student who is not in uniform will not be able to participate in the ceremony.
• Balloons/Noise Makers: We ask that you do not bring balloons, signs, or objects that may obstruct others from viewing their student during the special event. In addition, please do not bring any noise makers as they will disrupt the ceremony.
• Seating: Seating may be limited. Please feel free to bring a lawn chair to sit on as there may be standing room only. We ask that parents, families and friends enjoy the ceremony from seating areas designated during the ceremony. Playground area will be off limits during ceremony.
• End of Ceremony: After the ceremony takes place, we ask that you please join the 5^th grade teachers and staff in the quad area as we celebrate everyone’s hard work!
• Student dismissal will be at 12:30.

Attendance

Dear Los Medanos Students and Families,

Student attendance matters each and every day at Los Medanos! In an effort to maximize student learning we ask that you bring your students to school everyday on time and ready to learn. As a school we are honoring students with perfect attendance each and every month and are also honoring classrooms who reach perfect attendance in a school wide attendance competition.

Parents we need your help! Please schedule doctor appointments around your child's school day not during, please keep your child at school for the entire school day, and parents please be on time each and every day!

As a team we can work together to ensure that everyday counts when it comes to student success!
