Hello Scholars and Community Members!
My name is Ms. Deloso and I am currently a 10th grade World Hxstory educator at Pitt High and have been teaching for in total of 5 years! I am originally from Sacramento, California and moved around California throughout my journey as an student and educator. As a first generation college student at San Francisco State University, I started out as a Kinesiology major in the hopes to work in the medical field, but found my true calling serving our communities through education. What shaped my perspective and career path was taking Ethnic Studies classes where I learned how to truly understand the world around me, saw the wealth of mine and many other cultures, and instilling self and community love to make change in our society. From here, I graduated with my BA in Asian American studies with a double minor in Education and Race & Resistance studies with multiple honors at SF State in 2017. Pushing my education further, I moved to LA and graduated from UCLA with a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Ethnic Studies in 2019. At heart, I am an Ethnic Studies Educator and you will experience this as you take my class.
I became a teacher because I know the youth today carry so much love and power; you all have the ability to make an impact in the world we live in through hxstory, art, and community leaders. If there is any way I can support you in my class, school, or future purposes know you can reach out to me and I will help as best as I can! I am excited to work with you this year!
