Assigned Scholars: 6th Grade H-Z; 7th Grade
This is my 37th year as an educator. It’s been an honor to serve 36 of those years here in Pittsburg Unified School District. I graduated from California State University Chico with a B.A. in Liberal Arts. Quickly after graduating, I began my educational career in this district at Los Medanos Elementary. While there, I spent 32 years teaching a variety of grades including kindergarten through 4th grade. After a successful and meaningful career in the classroom, I decided to further my education and earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at California State University East Bay. I joined the Tiger Team in 2016 as Vice Principal.
Assigned scholars: 6th Grade A-G; 8th Grade
As I grew up in the east bay, I always valued working close to where I was raised. I have attended Sonoma State, UC Davis, and SF State to receive my credentials to become a teacher. Five years ago I began my journey as an administrator and love every minute I get to work with scholars, teachers and families. I have a strong passion for education, but a special love for everything Math!!! I have taught grades Kinder through 8th multiple subject, math, science and leadership. This is just a piece of who I am, and a look into where I started. Please check my site for weekly updates!
