Hello,

Welcome to preschool!

My name is Laura Serratos and I was born and raised in Mexico. 

I came to this country in my late 20's   and started working for the district in 2003 as an instructional assistant.  

Highlands Elementary gave me the opportunity to start working as a preschool teacher in 2015. 

Being part of the Early Childhood Education force is an incredible responsibility.

We are setting the stage for an entire lifetime helping children build foundations in all areas of development. 

We are stimulating and guiding the brain in a time in which it is growing faster than any other period of life. 

We are giving them the chance to expand their world beyond home life.

It is an honor and a privilege to work with children.
