Dr. Olumuyiwa Ayodeji Idowu:
Hello, I am Olumuyiwa Ayodeji Idowu and I teach Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus at Pittsburg High School. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from The University of Oklahoma, Master of Education Degree from La Verne University and Doctor of Education Degree with specialization in Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning from Walden University.
Although, I am new to the Pirate Family at Pittsburg High School, I have over 15 years of experience in public education as a teacher and an administrator. The thesis for my Master's degree was on on the "Importance and Everyday Use of Mathematics Among High School Students" and conducted a reseach study on "Effect of Cooperative Learning Instructional Strategy on Students' Performance in High School Algebra" for my doctoral dissertation.
I have strong passion for students' learning and strongly believe that all students can learn and excel in every aspects of their life when placed in an environment that is conducive to learning along with all necessary support, such as high qualified teachers and support for students that were not learning.
