Mrs. Laurie Lecours

My name is Laurie Lecours.  I am entering my 30th year of teaching.  I am married and have one child.  I live in Napa, but lived in Pittsburg when I was first married and while I was in my teaching program.  I grew up in Bowling Green, Ohio and Sacramento.  

I lived in Illinois for nearly 20 years and did most of my teaching years in Missouri schools.  I drove across the mighty Mississippi River every day to get to work. Long commutes are nothing new to me.  My friends in Illinois and Missouri thought I was crazy.  

I am starting my seventh year back in California and couldn't be happier.  I feel very fortunate to work at Parkside with such a wonderful and supportive staff and administration.  It truly feels as if I've come home.  Seems I didn't need to move at all. It would have saved me a lot of time and effort had I known then that I would end up right back in Pittsburg.
