Mr. Maxwell

Hi, I am Mr. Maxwell, Mr. M for short. I am one of the PE Teachers at Parkside Elementary. This is my first-year teaching PE. I have been teaching for approximately six years, most of which have been as a First Grade Teacher at Parkside Elementary. Parkside holds a special place in my life because as I was substitute teaching at Parkside I became passionate in teaching instead of the career I was going into. While I was in my other career, teaching was always in the back of mind. When I finally decided to pursue it, I was blessed to be able to start my teaching career at my favorite school, Parkside. I look forward to my job everyday because of the wonderful community at Parkside. Go Panthers!

I love working with my community. If you need to reach me please email me at amaxwell@pittsburg.k12.ca.us.

  • Hello Everyone,

An alternative assignment to the assignment given last week can be to complete the following pyramid with your family. Print it out or if you don't have a printer you can make your own pyramid with the same amount of boxes like the one below. Each week I will add another hint on some activities you can do. However, you can also make up any activities that require physical activity and add them on your pyramid. Your parent needs to sign off on the activity you do. Be creative and have fun doing the activities together as a family when you can. The first assignment still works if you would rather do that or even better you can do both and fill in a box on your pyramid as well. :) You will get credit for either assignment you complete. Just remember to stay active during this time. I can't wait to see all of you again soon!
