Dr. Brian Schick
Dr. Schick brings his many skills to the PHS classroom. This year he is teaching the AP Computer Science A, Introduction to Engineering Design, and Exploring Computer Science classes. Dr. Schick enjoys empowering students with skills they will find useful for a lifetime. He shows students how to organize their time and contacts to achieve success.
Dr. Schick earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry in the laboratory of Dr. Frances Jurnak at UC Riverside, where he discovered the dehydration techniques for crystals of the EF-Tu : EF-Ts complex from E. coli. Dr. Schick spent some time mentoring students at California State University Fullerton, and some more time researching high-throughput crystallography at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Dr. Schick took some time off to take care of his ageing father, and then earned his second bachelors in Game and Simulation Programming at DeVry University.
