Hello Students and Families!

I am so happy to be your child's teacher.  I have been teaching since 2006 and I've been here at Highlands since 2017.  I received my BA from UC Berkeley, my MA and teaching credentials from Mills College.  I enjoy working with young learners, but I also enjoy working with new teachers.  I've had many student teachers practicing their craft in my classroom while supporting new teachers as well.  

I am a mother to 2 young children.  My son is also in Kindergarten and my daughter is in 2nd grade.  We moved from Oakland to Pleasant Hill in the summer of 2017.  My husband is also a teacher. He teaches 5th grade bilingual.  We both met teaching in San Leandro.  Although we try to keep work and home seperate, many of our conversantions revolve around our work.  We are both very passionate about what we do and care deeply about our students.  I am committed to working with you to support your child's academic and social development.
