Evelyn Ibarra, M.A., PPS
I grew up in the Mission District of San Francisco, CA and currently still reside in my hometown of SF. I have lived all of my life in the Bay Area but often visit Nicaragua, where my family is from. I enjoy travelling to new places and various activities like attending ballgames and concerts. I am a huge SF Giants fan and have been all of my life. I strongly believe in the importance of education and personal growth, and so I am currently a student at the University of San Francisco. In my spare time, I like to go to Giants games, I attend afro-brasilian drumming classes, or spend quality time with friends and family.
I began working with Black Diamond High School when it first opened its doors in August of 2012. Since then I have happily been part of the BDHS counseling and support team. Black Diamond High School offers students a second opportunity at graduating from high school and accomplishing their academic and personal goals. Our small school setting allows me to work closely with our students and their families. That is one of my favorite parts of being a Counselor at Black Diamond High.
Please don't hesitate to stop by and say hello. It is my pleasure to serve the Pittsburg community and be a part of the Black Diamond High family.
