¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español!

Welcome back to an exciting year at Pittsburg High! I am Granada Tezeno. I have been teaching at Pittsburg High since 2012 as a Spanish Teacher, Link Crew Coordinator, as well as a Track Coach and former Cheerleading Coach and Professional Development Coordinator. I must admit that even though I did not start my teaching journey as a Pirate, I have fully embraced the “Pirate for Life” mentality.

As a Bay Area native, I have always appreciated the diversity growing up here has allowed me to meet people from all different walks of life. I believe the better communicators we become, the better relationships we can build with understanding, trust, and also improve our ability to problem solve.

With that in mind, it is my goal to encourage all my students to become better communicators—not only in Spanish, but in any tongue. So please, whenever you can: talk to one another, write to one another, and most important, listen to one another.

***During the time we remain out of school during the COVID-19 school closures, our class will use Google Classroom and Zoom to engage in discussions. Please know due to the fact parents cannot enroll in the Goggle classroom, that I will also post assignments on Aeries, as well as here on my teacher page for reference.
