Mrs. Catherine Pease

Hi, I'm Catherine Pease and I teach Algebra 1.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After college, I directed a non-profit tutoring and enrichment program called Academic Excellence at the Community Youth Center in Concord. For five years, I managed a team of tutors, organized academic summer camps for kids of all ages, and tutored high school students in math and science. Wanting to focus more on helping students, I then became a math, science, and test prep mentor at ESM Prep, where I gained experience in online tutoring and the college admissions process. Online tutoring allowed me to work with students from all around the world. In 2016, I decided to follow my lifelong love for education and become a teacher. I've been teaching at Pittsburg High School ever since.
