Mr. Mejía

Hola alumnos y padres!  

Welcome to my page. My name is Jorge Mejia and I teach AP Spanish Literature & language as well as AP Language and Culture. I am lucky enough to be in this profession because I love it, this is my 12th year and looking forward to many more. I am a native of Mexico and came to the US when I was a teenager. I moved to the bayarea in 2003 to complete my education, Saint Mary's College of California and University of San francisco and have been here since then.  When I am not in the classsroom I enjoy spending time at home with my family, in my garden or with my animals. 

I have been in PHS now for 6 years and have come to enjoy the community I work in. Three years ago I also became a resident of this community and I am embracing the diversity and pride that there is here in Pittsburg. I look foward to sharing my love for learning with my students and in making an impact in the community that I live in. 

For our DL (distance learning) this year we will make use of several tools available to us via the district and on the web. Students will be expected to log in daily to zoom and to constantly check google classroom and aeries for instruction and to monitor their progress int he classroom.
