Ms. Kanika S. Jenkins (Ms. Jae)

HELLO!!! My name is Kanika Jenkins, I am a PHS graduate who began my teaching career as an English teacher at Pittsburg High school in 2004. Having grown up in this community, I have a vested interest in seeing the students of Pittsburg High School achieve despite the challenges they may face. I currently teach African American Literature< English 1 and facilitates our Success Academy, a program that works with students to address socio-emotional issues which may serve as a barrier to their academic progress, while providing academic support and strategies to enhance their opportunities to excel in the classroom.

I am very excited that we will be back to in-person school but am also aware that we live in a differnt world now. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you or your families have any questions about this school year, our work, or if you need additional help and support.
