Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Galli

Hi! I am a Pittsburg native with generations of family history in town. I am currently in my 23rd year teaching at Pittsburg High School and love it. My older brother coach Victor Galli also teaches with me at PHS. We have both followed in the footsteps of our Great Uncle George Galli who taught and coached at the high school for many years.

My teaching credential is in Health Science and I taught Health and Life Skills at the high school to 9th graders for 16 years. I loved teaching health as it is my true passion. I then briefly taught PE and Medical Terminology. I have since transitioned into teaching AVID. AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college readiness program for students who have the desire and determination to attend a 4 year college after high school. Students learn study skill, life skills, as well as college and career exploration. I am currently beginning my 10th year in teaching the AVID elective as well as serving as the site coordinator for the program. I am privileged to watch my students create a sense of family as they grow, mature  and then are sent off to their futures.

Interested students can apply to the program during their 8th grade year to enter as a 9th grader. We will also admit students beyond 9th grade year as long as space is available.
