Ms. DiGiovanni

I came to Pittsburg High School in 2013 after teaching in Alameda Unified and San Ramon Unified. I love high school students, they are a constant source of inspiration and fascination for me. Students teach me every day; they challenge my assumptions, increase my understanding of youth culture, and bring me joy with their boundless energy and enthusiasm. I also really love books, and the fact that part of my daily job is to discuss literature, reading, and writing, with students is a joy and privilege. Not every person finds joy in their profession, so I consider myself fortunate that I love what I do. I get to teach literature to high schoolers! For me, there is nothing better.
