Ms. Bussey

Hi,  I currently teach Geometry at PHS. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from UC Berkeley and a Masters degree in Business Administration from National University. I am a retired Logistics Officer from the United States Army Reserves. I served almost 40 years and obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

I graduated from PHS in 1976. Graduated Los Medanos College in 1978 and transferred and graduated UC Berkeley in 1982.  At that time I went on active duty and served for 10 years. I move back to Pittsburg in 1996 and I  decided to pursue a teaching career because my child has special needs, in 1997 at Deer Valley High School. In 1998 I  began working at Hillview Jr. High.

My teaching credentials is in Mathematics. I’ve been teaching Mathematics at PHS in 2006.

 I have a special place in my heart for my students.  I want all students to graduate and I believe that I provide needed structure and consequences for their actions so they will be successful adults.
