Certified Nursing Assistant Program

This 16-week course is designed to prepare students who wish to become certified nursing assistants for the state exam. Persons interested in this class must attend a mandatory information session in order to be eligible and to get the physical form/registration packet.
Class fee includes textbooks, CPR training, and fingerprinting.
The CNA program is held 4 nights per week, Monday through Thursday. There will also be an occasional Saturday morning, which will be scheduled at a later time. The program consists of classroom (theory) instruction and hands-on (clinical) training. Theory instruction is held the first 3 weeks and then each Monday for the duration of the program. Theory hours are 5:00pm - 9:00pm on the PAEC campus. Clinical instruction is held at a long-term care facility (TBD) and begins the fourth week of class. Clinical hours are 4:30pm - 8:00pm, Tuesday through Thursday. There will be an occasional Saturday morning included in the clinical training.
Requirements to enroll in the Certified Nursing Assist Training program:
Valid California Driver's License or ID card
Original Social Security card
Complete Physical
Updated Immunizations
LiveScan Fingerprinting
