Hello Warriors!

Welcome to my classroom!  This will be my 9th year working at Hillview Junior High!  I have taught sixth grade history and multiple electives along the way.  This will be my 8th year teaching Ancient Civilizations and my 3rd heading up the Leadership Program.  I am a huge believer in creating and maintaining a thriving classroom culture and community as well as molding growth mindsets in my students.

In our 6th grade course we will explore the physical and human geography of six of our world's most important ancient civilizations.

This year our Leadership program will focus on creating and maintaining a school community in a digital space.

Though this school year will be like nothing we’ve ever experienced I’m excited to start getting to know each and everyone of you!  I believe we have a choice; we can take the situation we’re in as a challenge we’re willing to tackle or we can look at it as something we’re simply stuck in.  We must understand that the school year may not be a perfect one, but we will get out of it what we’re willing to put in!
