Mr. James Marzan

My name is Mr. Marzan and this will be my ninth year teaching at Los Medanos Elementary. Second grade will be a year filled with joy, respect, and hard work!

I was raised and schooled my whole life in the Bay Area. After I graduated from high school, I went to San Jose State University for my undergraduate degree in Economics. I then followed my dream to live in a foreign country, and I moved to Japan for four years. I taught English in Hiroshima to elementary and middle school students. With the move to Japan, I realized that teaching was my calling. I moved back home to the Bay Area and got my Masters in Teaching at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California.

Teaching is my passion, and I can’t wait to spend the year learning and growing with all of you! We are all learners in Room P3 and this year's motto is “Success and Nothing Less!” Let’s have a great year, and remember, Los Medanos is a place “Where we expect the best!”
