Miss Jensen

Hello, wonderful MVE families and students!  My name is Miss Danielle Jensen and I am currently a 3rd grade teacher at Marina Vista Elementary School.  I was born and raised in Pittsburg and have taught in the Pittsburg Unified School District for going on 14 years now.  I have taught students of every grade K-6th as either a classroom, intervention, summer school, or home home hospital teacher and also as a private tutor.  In addition to teaching and tutoring, I have participated in such things as school Family Nights, the Equity Committee, School Site Council, and have been both a Pittsburg Education Association (PEA) school site union representative and an English Language Development (ELD) school site facilitator for about 10 years now.  I feel very blessed to be teaching and giving back to the community that has given me so much over the years!  In my free time, I enjoy taking walks and hikes in nature, drawing, watching detective and cooking shows, cooking/baking, listening to live music, singing with friends, and playing my baritone ukulele.  Thanks for stopping by my page and have a blessed day!

In the coming weeks I plan to set up weekly Zoom meetings with students where we can log in at the same time, catch up, share stories, etc.  Stay tuned for a ClassDojo update when that is up and running.  In the meantime, check out the link below to learn more about using Zoom if you aren't familiar with it.  Then, if possible, download Zoom on to your device (a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer would be best for our class meetings, but it can work on a smartphone as well) and sign up for a free account so your child will be all set up when our class meetings get started.  I can't wait to see all their faces again soon!
