Hello everyone and welcome to Ms. Curtis’ classroom.  I am excited to be continuing to work with the first grade team this 2020-2021 school year.  I am also looking forward to getting to know all my students, but first let me tell you a little about me.

I am a mom to my daughter, Alexandra who is now 12 years old.  People always said “they grow up fast”, but when it happened in front of my eyes…it shocked me.  Being a mother is the most difficult job and one I would not trade for anything in the world.  I have been in education for 17 years all here in Pittsburg…Pittsburg Pride!!  I taught first and second grade at Heights Elementary, a district early literacy coach, and recently was the vice principal and Principal at Los Medanos Elementary.  I am fortunate for all the opportunities that have been a part of my path, but my passion remained to work closely with students.  I am proud to be a member of the Willow Cove team – Go Wildcats!
