  • Qtr. Project rubric.

    Team Sports Students will need to complete this quarter project. the quarter project consist of three sections: 1. intronuction and background of activity; 2. connections with the 5 concepts of health related fitness. 3. exercise presription.

    Intructions:

    students will choose any team related movement activity to research, it can be a sport, recreational activity doesnt matter as long as it is a physical activity.

    Section 1 Background- in this sections students will create five slides. and introduce their chosen activity.

    --Slide 1-- name of student, name of chosen activity, period number, and graphic representing activity.

    --slide 2-- Who is credited with inventing or innovating your chosen activity? when was your chosen activity invinted/innovated? when was your chosen activity invented/innovated? be sure to include any relevant pictoral or video graphics as well as citations for resources.

    --slide 3-- Why was your activity innovated or created? what where the sociatal influences at the time that led to the inception of your chosen activity? What impact if any has your chosen activiy had on societ since its inception? What about today? be sure to include relevant images or videos as well as citations for resources.

    Section 2 5CHRF- In this sections students will be making connections between the five concepts of fittness and their chosen research activiy. Each slide should explore the relationship between a specific concept of Health related fitness and performance activity in two ways; How does the concept effect ones performnace in the activity, and how does performance in the activity effect the concept within the performers body. (exmpl: If I wanted to be a mile runner for track, I would need to have a high level of cardiovascular fittness/if I run a mile I am actively strengthening my cardiovascular fittness/.) each of these slides shoudl have visual that coheasivly adds to the understanding of the viewer; this information must be backed by credible research and source refernced.

    Section 3 Exercise Prescription- in this section students will research and research one to two exercises specific to thier chosen activity to help performance and fittness levels of each of the active concepts of fittness. On each slide students will need to:a)introduce the one to two exercises being prescibed b) explain why the prescribed exercise(s) are benificial for the chosen  activity and concept being trained. c) provide video/GIF/or 3 picture sequence evidence of student performing prescribed exercise.
