Teacher Tech Tips
Here are some hopefully helpful tips for Clever, Google, ClassDojo and more!
Clever
Here is a quick video I made and shared in August 2019 to help you get started with Clever http://bit.ly/cleverteach1 and here is a tutorial tour from Clever https://youtu.be/5j2eRwchKDY
Clever is used to access: iReady, Imagine Learning, Imagine Math Facts, Edmodo and Mcgraw Hill (You can set this up to give assignments to students)
You can use ClassDojo portfolio or messages to give students their Clever badge. Students can use their Perm ID number as username and pusdpermid (pusd12345) as the password.
Here is a video going over Clever, especially some new additions the district has added https://bit.ly/cleverteach2Forget your Clever info? Teachers use PUSD email address (k12.ca.us) as username & staff/munis/frontline id as the password. (The 4 digits in the top Left of your pay stub)
Here is a tutorial for adding more to Clever https://youtu.be/RGgajzOV3Xo
I recommend you add the following that all automatically add your students and are pretty engagingABC Mouse: https://clever.com/in/pittsburgusd/library/app/abcmouse
Freckle https://clever.com/in/pittsburgusd/library/app/freckle
Typing Club https://clever.com/in/pittsburgusd/library/app/typingclub
For those that want to add a link in Clever for your students to Zoom, follow Steps 7-11 HEREGoogle Chrome
Be sure to check out Dr. Desiree Alexander's website www.educatoralexander.com ! She gave awesome PD on Google Suite for our district in 2020. After attending one of her trainings I made this quick video about logging into Chrome and exporting your Bookmarks to move to your school account or to share Chrome Sync & Bookmarks
Google Classroom via Clever
PUSD staff be sure to check out the help videos and tips for PUSD HERE if you are using Google Classroom
If your students are logging into Clever on a computer or chromebook, they will be automatically logged in. Here are the docs to share with families, are use yourself if having trou
On devices that do not have the clever extension, students will need their Clever username and password (perm id, "pusd"perm id) and when they click on Google Classroom it will fill in their email but they need their google password. Google passwords for students are perm id+birth month day and year so if Buddy's id is 12345 and he was born January 2, 2004 his Google password is 12345010204
ClassDojo
Here is a modified version of ClassDojo's latest help doc all about using ClassDojo.
