School Begins on August 13, 2020 in Distance Learning

  • On July 15th, the Pittsburg Board of Education voted unanimously to start the 2020-2021 school year with full distance learning. Since that time, Governor Newsom announced that all schools in counties that are on the California Department of Public Health COVID-19 Monitoring List cannot open the school year with in-person learning. Contra Costa County remains on the Monitoring List. The first day of school is scheduled for Thursday, August 13th. Note, this date has changed as August 12th is now a professional development day for teachers and staff.

Computers will be distributed to families that need them during the first 2 weeks of August. School sites will be communicating distribution schedules with families
