Community School Coordinator
Darren Gapultos is the Coordinator of Pittsburg Unified's first community school at Hillview Junior High and has been working there since 2014. What Darren enjoys most about Hillview is collaborating with a team of dedicated staff and watching young people become more successful as they transition to high school. Outside of work, Darren enjoys cooking, hiking, and photographing the outdoors. He is a proud Banana Slug from the University of California, Santa Cruz where he received his bachelor's degree in Politics. Darren went on to receive his master's degree in Social Welfare and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from UC Berkeley.
