Miss Cruz

 Hello, I am Miss Cruz. 

I teach 6th grade science and 7th grade science DI here at Hillview. I have been teaching here for 7 years now. Before that I was a lead tutor at Mt Diablo High School for 5 years. 

My background in education is as follows; I have a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley with a major in Molecular and Cell Biology and a minor in US History. I have a teaching credential specializing in science from CSU East Bay. I have experience in both science and teaching. I worked in an immunology lab before and I tutored and led CAHSEE and AP Bio study sessions at Mt Diablo High School. Therefore, I can teach my students science. 

I enjoy biology, astronomy, Thai food, burritos, video games, anime, drawing, crafting, and taking long walks. I also love coming up with fun ways for my students to learn science, through activities, labs, and etc. 

It is really important that we stay in constant communication. I have these links below to help you and your student navigate our website. I will be posting some assignments on google classroom.
