Andrea McKinney-Webster

I am fortunate to serve my life's purpose - educating students. I have served students from the east coast to the west coast, elementary to high school, and traditional to alternative.

I began my career teaching 16 to 24-year-old students in Job Corps.  This opportunity allowed me the opportunity to serve students in Tennessee, Alabama, and Louisiana (yes, I was in  Louisiana during Hurricane Katrina).  Through my diverse education experiences, I have witness firsthand the humanity of a community coming together to help students to continue their learning. These experiences deepen my commitment to serve students. I truly believe that education is important and doable at every level for everyone.

I moved to California in 2007 and began teaching students in the Pittsburg Unified School District. Teaching in P.U.S.D allowed me the opportunity to serve students in junior high and high schools. Currently, I proudly serve students at Black Diamond High School (BDHS) as a school counselor.

As your school counselor, I am here to help You. You are important. You matter. You can achieve your goals!
