Degrees and Certifications:
Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I would pretend to teach stuffed animals, friends, and even my little brother! I graduated from Arroyo High School in 1998, then went to Sonoma State University where I majored in Liberal Studies and minored in Child Psychology. After graduating from Sonoma State in 2002, I completed the credential program at Cal State East Bay where I received my teaching credential in 2003. I have been teaching at Highlands for 18 years. I taught 1st grade for 9 years and 2nd grade for 7 years. This is my 3rd year back in 1st grade.
Why do I teach? I absolutely love the students! I feel like I am making a difference in their lives every day. There's nothing I would rather do!
I can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I check my email frequently throughout the day. I am very excited to meet my new class of fantastic first graders!
