I have been teaching in Pittsburg for many years.  These years have been rewarding as well as a challenge. I wanted to be a teacher since the third grade.  I  feel my greatest accomplishments are helping not only students, but colleagues recognize their full potential.  You can often find me being a mentor to other teachers, a tutor to struggling students, a team leader for my grade level, all while doing my best to prepare students to leave school ready for the world.

I graduated from Pittsburg High School, went to college in San Francisco, and earned my teaching credential at Chapman University.  I came back to Pittsburg to give back to my community I was raised in.

To see students involved in their own learning is the greatest reward for me. I believe mistakes are accepted, but maximum effort is expected.  Teaching for me  is much more than a job.  This is my profession that allows me to mix my passion and skill.  Go Highlands!  I believe everyone can learn and I believe in you!
