Mr. Bill Gruenholz

My name is William F. Gruenholz II, but my nickname is Bill. I grew up in southern California and graduated from Whittier High School, then Whittier College where I earned a BA degree and a teaching credential. Immediately after college, I joined the U.S. Air Force and received training to teach English as a foreign language (EFL) in Vietnam.

After many years, in 2004, I began teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). I taught at both Mt. Diablo Adult Education (Loma Vista), until June 2015, and Pittsburg Adult Education Center. I currently teach Intermediate Low ESL.

I teach ESL because I enjoy helping people learn something that is  important to them. It’s great to meet people from all over the world and learn from them about their countries, cultures, and lives. It’s fantastic when a class becomes a real community of English learners.
