Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Hari Brown
Hello. My name is Hari Brown and I have been serving the students of Pittsburg High School since 2005 as a math instructor. My goal as a teacher is help each young person I come in contact with use the subject of mathematics to become a better critical thinker and to prepare them to take ownership of their choices both at Pittsburg High and beyond using the subject of math as a tool to build their own success. I was born and raised in New Orleans until I enrolled in the University of Southern California in Los Angeles after graduating high school. I completed my education there in 1994, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. When I was unable to find a job in engineering coming out of college, I decided to teach in South Central LA to support myself and pay bills. The minute I started teaching those young people, I knew I was called to teach as a profession. After 25 years, I am still operating in my calling.
Here at PHS, I am presently teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus
If you have any questions or need anything from me, you can contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Any information for my classes and students can be found under class assignments.
In regards to assignments for each of my three classes, I first would like all students to complete any missing assignments that they have not completed in the 2nd Semester as indicated in Homework assignments given in Aeries. I will communicate in the near future on the best way to recieve the missing assignments completed by my students during this indefinite break due to the Coronavirus. Review worksheets for each subject will be posted on both this website and on the Remind APP in the near future. Stay safe and healthy and God bless you and your families during this most challenging time.
