Mrs. Evette Evers-Threatt

Hello and welcome to Mrs. Evers-Threatt’s classroom. This year marks 20+ years of teaching in Pittsburg Unified.  After graduating from Pittsburg High in 1987, and earning my BA in English from Cal State Hayward, I returned to Pittsburg to empower and inspire scholars of my own.  When plans were approved to build a new junior high school on the grounds of Martin Luther King Jr. Preschool, where I began my own legacy, I knew my life had come full circle. Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School is where I will seal my legacy.

It is my passion and my commitment to prepare my 8th graders for high school, college and beyond.  My hope is that every scholar leaves empowered, confident and competent.
