Los Medanos Elementary School Overview

Los Medanos Elementary School was dedicated and opened in 1963.
- The school has 63,090 square feet of floor space.
- The enrollment at the school for the 2016-17 school year is 745 students.
- There are five solar sub-arrays at the school, with an annual production of almost 242,000 kW of energy for the school.
In 2011, the exterior of the school was re-painted and received new lettering and address numbers across the front of the school.- The project was funded by the 1995 Measure D bond.
- Using Deferred Maintenance funds, some of the work done at the school includes new floors and partitions in the six bathrooms, as well as new tiling in all the hallways.
