Assessments & Grading

~Students will be assessed approximately every 3-6 weeks during a one-on-one and whole group session. I will notify you in advance when the testing weeks will take place.  Data collected will be sent home via Classtag message and/or Wednesday envelope.  

We will be focusing on the following skills: 

• Phonemic Awareness (Rhyming, beginning & ending sounds etc.) 

• Sight words reading (kinder and taught 1st grade words) 

• Blending words (Phonics patterns taught) 

• Fluency (End of year goal 65 words per minute)

• Math (Current Math Chapter)

• Students will also be assigned writing and reading comprehension assessments during these weeks
