Learning Expectations
Scholars will learn how body systems work together to perform specialized tasks.
Scholars will become familiar with some of the parts of Cell Theory (specifically that all living things are made of cells and that cells create more cells).
Scholars will learn how body systems work together to perform specialized tasks.
Scholars will become familiar with some of the parts of Cell Theory (specifically that all living things are made of cells and that cells create more cells).
Scholars will choose a field of study in any of the scientists based on interest and find a LatinX scientist that has similarities to their genetic expression. Scholars will then prepare a biography of the scientist including their background, education and life’s work (experience).
Scholars will use their notes from the video and text from earlier lessons to create a One-pager about gravity. (Scholars have a choice to complete this activity using paper and markers/colored pencils or a Google Slide.)

Virtual Class Activities
Fill in the blanks:
All living things are made of ___________. A group of cells working together is called a _____________. A group of tissues working together are called __________. A group of organs working together are called ________________. Another word for organ system is ________________.
Body Systems Jigsaw
Scholars will research information about an assigned body system and complete a shared Google Slides Presentation (part synchronous/part asynchronous)
