Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Lott grew up right here in Pittsburg/Antioch and has been working with youth in many capacities for the past decade. This year, he is excited to join the MLK Jr. Jr. High Tigers. He has been working for the district for 6 years and in his current position for 3. In his role as Restorative Practices facilitator, he is committed to empowering young people by finding new ways to build community, to resolve conflict, to repair harm, and to dismantle systems of oppression that preclude equity and racial justice.
This quarter, Mr. Lott is determined to assist in maintaining and strengthening student connections to school through virtual community and relationship building. He believes that this is vital especially while we cannot be physically together on campus. Thus, though he is new to his school site this year, his goal is to meet and support as many students, staff members, and families as he can during this unprecedented time.
Mr. Lott is available for virtual check-in as needed and looks forward to facilitating circles and critical conversations in the service of PUSD young people, guardians, and faculty alike.
