Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Davi

Hello, and welcome to my page! My name is Ms. Davi and I'm excited to begin my first year teaching in Pittsburg. This will be my 11th year teaching; I taught in Oakland my whole career, but finally made the switch to Pitt. My dad's side of the family are all proud Pittsburg High School graduates and are thrilled that I'm finally teaching in this district.

I received my Bachelor's in History at San Francisco State University in 2008 and then went on to earn my teaching credential and Masters in Teaching from the Reach Institute for School Leadership in Oakland. While in school, I was a Resource aide for 5th-8th graders, helping them with language acquistion, articulation, and critical thinking. This was when I identified middle school as my favorite age to teach; my passion is in preparing students to develop the skills and habits neccessary to succeed in high school and beyond.

Additionally, I've always believed that knowing history is the best way to make sense of the world around us and it is great start to engaging in effective dialouge for a better future. I believe it is crucial to prepare our youth to be active, civically engaged community members who will contribute to a more inclusive society.

I couldn't be more excited to join the Rancho team, and I look forward to working with all of you. I can be reached at and will be updating this page with my Remind contact info ASAP.
