  • If you are trying to get connected to the internet for distance learning, below are providers in Pittsburg that have opened up their low-income internet programs, allowing you to receive free connectivity for up to two months if you qualify:

Finding free WiFi hotspots in the neighborhood

  • Xfinity WiFi hotspots are available to anyone who needs them for free during COVID-19 emergency, including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers"

    2. Go to location of hotspot while following social distancing and safety guidelines.
    3. Look for "xfinitywifi" in the list of available networks on your device. Most are located in businesses and outdoor locations.

     

    Note: If you are asked to pay for additional time, you are most likely logged into a residential hotspot, which are not a part of Xfinity's COVID-19 open access.
