Mr. Gilbert

Hello everybody! My name is Daniel Gilbert and I am a 5^th grade teacher at Los Medanos Elementary. This is my first of hopefully many years here at LME and in the Pittsburg Unified School District and my 3^rd year teaching overall. I was lucky enough to get my credential during the fun years of distance learning and I am a proud Fighting Phoenix! I grew up in Pittsburg (Foothill Elementary, Hillview Junior High, and Pittsburg High School) where I was a student-athlete and I have always enjoyed trying to be the best at both (a parent’s best friend for a teacher). When I am not teaching, I am probably enjoying my free time with my wife, friends, or family. I love Stanford University, Star Wars, The Office, and if you want to get in my good graces, Sour Patch candies.
