Remember, your student accesses Google Classroom through Clever. :)

    Here is the Freckle log-in:

    Go to student.freckle.com

The Class Code is B6S9XQ and their login is their first and last name and then the password is their Lunch ID

Note, I cleared out the old Freckle assignments so that we can move forward as a class and no one feels overwhelmed. :)

Also, if your student would like to work with me one-on-one in a Zoom call on a specific topic, please have them fill out the Google form posted on Google Classroom. :)

Weekly Assignments: April 20th-24th

  • For our first week of true distance learning, we will be focusing on learning the platforms we will be using moving forward: Zoom and Google Classroom. We will also be focusing on finishing up any old Freckle assignments so we are ready to move forward.

Assignments for the week of April 20th-24th:

    • Have your student attend the weekly Zoom call on Thursday, April 23rd at 12pm (noon). The link to access the meeting will be posted on Class Dojo Thursday morning.
    • Have your student sign in to Google Classroom and say hi in the comment thread on the main page
    • Have your student reply to the Weekly Check-In Form on Google Classroom by the end of the day on Wednesday
    • Finish up any pending assignments on Freckle
    • Optional: work on iReady or continue work in the Go Math workbook or Your Turn Practice Book workbook (please see the 4th Grade Website for details about logging onto iReady as well as the links to the assignments in the workbooks)

    Zoom

There will be one weekly Zoom meeting to check in with students and see how they are doing. The meeting information will be posted in the "Class Stories" portion of Class Dojo. It is strongly encouraged that everyone attends, as they are able. There is a mobile app for Zoom, so you do not have to have a laptop to use it.

    Google Classroom

Google Classroom will be where academic content will be posted and where individual assignments will be turned in starting next week. This will be in addition to Freckle and iReady, which will continue to function as normal.

This week, there are only two quick things to do on Google Classroom: say hi on the comment thread on the main page and complete the Weekly Check-In Form. It will be a way for me to check in with the student and see how they are and what they need.

To access Google Classroom, your student will need to log-in to Clever: PUSD's Clever Site

As a reminder, their log-in is based off their Lunch ID. For example, pretend your student's Lunch ID is 12345.

    The log-in would be:

    username: 12345
    password: pusd12345

Note - the password is lower case and there are no spaces.

Your student should remember their Lunch ID, but I can easily look it up if you need me to. Just message me on Class Dojo and I will get that information to you.

Then, once they are on in Clever, just scroll down and there will be a green icon that says "Google Classroom." Click on that and their log-in information will be displayed. You will need to click on "Show" for it to display the password. I would copy down this information somewhere easily accessible so you have it if you need it. Then just click the link underneath the log-in that says "Log in to Google Classroom."

If you have issues, please reach out during office hours (9am-11am or 1pm-3pm M-F) and I can help you. Feel free to message me outside of those hours and I was get back to you as soon as I can.

    Freckle

For this week, please finish up any pending Freckle assignments so we are ready to move forward.

As always, here is the log-in:

    Go to student.freckle.com

The Class Code is B6S9XQ and their login is their first and last name and then their password is their Lunch ID
