Ms. Valencia

Hello and welcome to my classroom! This year marks my third year at Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School. Ater graduating from Pittsburg High School, I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated with a degree in sociology. I returned to Pittsburg to teach my neighbors, while still contributing to my community. I am so excited to welcome you all into our classroom community, and am ready to try our best as we start this year in-person.

For the 2021-2022 school year, I will be teaching 6th and 7th grade ancient and medieval history. The majority of your classwork and learning materials will be available through our Google classroom page which can be accessed via Clevver, or your PUSD student Gmail. Also, please make sure join our classroom through the Remind app to stay up to date with your assignments and any important announcements. Please click on the tab to your left (or dropdown menu if using smartphone/tablet) titled "Ms. Valencia's 2021-2022 Remind Class Codes" to learn how to sign up. If you every have any questions or are unsure what to do, send me a message and I will reply to you within 48 hours.

When I'm not teaching or in school, I love baking desserts, riding my bike around Pittsburg, or playing Animal Crossing. I love chatting about fun facts and almost all types of music. Please feel free to reach out whether you have any questions, concerns, or just want to talk. I truly mean it when I say that I am so excited to meet you all and learn from you.
