Degrees and Certifications:
B.A. Sociology, University of California, Santa Barbara
Hello and welcome to my classroom! This year marks my first at Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School. Ater graduating from Pittsburg High School, I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated with a degree in sociology. I returned to Pittsburg to teach my neighbors, while still contributing to my community.
I currently teach 6th and 7th grade ancient and medieval history, and during the school dismissal, I am uploading weekly assignments here. Most scholars should have their packets with them, but for scholars who were unable to pick-up or receive their packets, they are posted under each assignment. To access each document, simply click each link to view or print the file. For scholars who do not have a physical copy with them, all work may be completed on separate sheets of lined paper.
The weekly assignments and packets are not designed to be "busy work" but a modified continuation of what we would be learning in class. Please try to set aside about three hours per week to complete the weekly assignments for my class. All assignments are broken up by week and explained step by step. When you are finished with each assignments, send me a picture of your work in a Remind message, or email it to me.
If anything ever remains unclear or you might need a bit more help, please contact me either through Remind or email!
Please be sure to take note of the packet subject, and complete assignments according to your grade level material.
6th grade classes are currently working on Chapter 9, "Ancient Greece" in their National Geographic: Ancient Civilizations textbook.
7th grade classes are currently working on, "Age of Exploration and Conquest" booklet.
