Mrs. Yelder

Hello,

Welcome parents and scholars to another wonderful school year. My name is Mrs. Yelder.  I am an Education Specialist working with our amazing Educational Success Team here at Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School. This will be my 3rd year as a teacher at MLKJJH.  As a Special Education Teacher, my goal is to provide academic skills and resources to ensure our scholars thrieve in their learning environments. My career in education includes having taught at local school districts which include schools in Brentwood and Oakley as well as in Student Programs with Contra Costa County Office of Education.  In addition to my career in education, I am a proud veteran of the United States Navy. In my military career, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to travel to many different countries. I enjoy sharing my travel experiences with my scholars.

It is my passion to teach using different learning modalities that support the many unique ways of learning.  I enjoy making learning fun!  I am looking forward to every minute of many successful years as a teacher with our Education Success Team at Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High School.
