Hello, my name is Ms. Ameral. I am a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Liberal Studies and my multiple subjects teaching credential from the state of California. Also, I have a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration and a tier 1 administrative credential from Concordia University, Irvine. I have been teaching since school year 2008-2009 with all of my years of service here at Marina Vista Elementary School. The majority of my years of experience have been as a first grade teacher and two years as a kindergarten teacher. Being a mother myself my ultimate goal every year is to prepare students with skills and study habits that will prepare my students not only for next year's grade level, but life as a whole.
I am available to answer questions you may have as the school year transpires. The best way to contact me is via email or Class Dojo. You can email me to set up a time to meet via Zoom if you prefer to converse in person. I have a direct google voice number for the purpose of direct calling after school hours if needed for working parents by appointment only or in emergencies, please refer to the Back-to-School packet for the telephone number or email for the direct telephone number. I look forward to partnering with you for the success of your child!
Parents and students I have the best job in the whole world. I became a teacher for many reasons, but mostly because I enjoy my connection with my kids (students). Every child has a piece of my heart, and I have a piece of theirs. I come to school every day looking forward to seeing your faces. I miss you when we're not together, even over the weekend.
When we left school last year, it was a shock to all of us. There was so much we didn't get to do or say to our classmates and teachers. We didn't get to celebrate time with our friends at the end of the year, or even say good-bye. It was a very sad time for everyone. I missed my class so much and did my best to connect with them no matter how far apart we were.
I know that many of you feel the same way. Some of you may be worried about this year. That's normal. There has been a lot of uncertainity. But, one thing I can tell you for sure is that I am here for you and we can get through anything together.
I want you to know that once you are my student, you are ALWAYS my student, my kid. YOU are the reason I started teaching in 2008. When I teach you, I will teach you from my heart because you deserve nothing less. My promise to you is that you are safe here. You are important. You are special. You are loved and you are MINE! I value you. I see you and I believe in you. You are the reason I am here.
WE will REMAIN #Pittsburgstrong together!
May you be blessed and Go Ospreys!!!
