On behalf of Pittsburg Unified School District's Board of Education, students, and staff, we would like to express our appreciation to the Pittsburg Community for supporting the 2008 Measure C Parcel Tax and considering Measure S on the November ballot. On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, all of the voters in the Pittsburg Unified School District will be asked to vote on Measure S. Measure S is a parcel tax that will provide the School District with a reliable, local source of funds for art, music and athletics. Measure S will replace the parcel tax approved by voters in 2008. It will last for seven years and requires a two-thirds voter approval for passage. Thank you also to the Pittsburg Community for supporting School Bond Measures. The funds have been used to make necessary upgrades and improvements to our schools. Your tax dollars have also helped to construct new, modern, facilities for our children, ensuring we provide safe and effective learning enviornments for our scholars. We are incredibly grateful for our community's continued committment to education.
