Parents: I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to visit Pittsburg High School any day of the week at any time.  The reason for this open invitation is to showcase our school and, just as importantly, meet you and have you learn about the various programs and services we offer.

With a student population of approximately 2,400 Pittsburg High is a vibrant and exciting place to be.  However, an area we are greatly lacking in is parent involvement.  What exactly, is parent involvement you might ask?  It is, quite simply, understanding the graduation requirements your child is required to complete, the various academic assistance programs we offer, help with getting financial aid for college and staying abreast of various events and special programs we are offering at our high school.

My experiences as an educator have led me to believe that parent involvement in our school is the number one factor associated with high student achievement; the more our parents are involved and knowledgeable about the staff, programs and events at Pittsburg High the more likely their child will be successful (graduating and going on to college).

To that end, I have an open door policy for all parents; please come by.....I would love to meet and speak with you!   Please do not hesitate to call me at (925) 250-1932 with any questions or concerns you might have.  I look forward to hearing from you!
