Academic Decathalon!

 

The final Academic Decathlon results are in, and both of Pittsburg High’s teams placed in the top ten again.

Pittsburg Black finished in 6th place out of 17 teams from Contra Costa County, while the Orange team placed 10th.

Still having trouble competing against the Lamorinda District teams, though, as the first five teams were Acalanes, Campolindo, Miramonte, California High, and Las Lomas. Continued our dominance of “our” side of the hill, however, as we beat Antioch, Liberty, and Freedom High for the third straight year. Still no team from Deer Valley.

Adam Moubarak – Gold (Super Quiz), Silver (Interview)

Fernanda Ramirez – HM (Essay)

John Manganaan – HM (Math)

Alfredo Gonzalez – HM (Literature)
