Early Childhood Education
The Martin Luther King Children Center will be making way for a new junior high school. After decades of service to the community of Pittsburg, the preschool and childcare programs will be operating at the elementary school sites throughout the district. This transition will help connect our preschool age children with the schools that they will be attending as they start in kindergarten and progress through the grades. There have been many wonderful moments at MLK over the years. There will be many more memories created at the new junior high school.
The preschool and childcare office has moved. Please make note of the following information

MISSION STATEMENT
We strive to provide each child with age and developmentally appropriate activities and experiences to become lifelong, self-directed and self-fulfilled learners. Also, we believe that a parent is a child's first and primary teacher and as a result, numerous opportunities are available on a daily basis for family participation in our programs.
