2013/14 Preschool Program

Preschool classes will once again be offered at each of the elementary school sites throughout the district. This program is designed to provide academic and social development opportunities for our children. Our highly qualified teachers and staff utilize the State Preschool Standards for academic instruction and the State Preschool Foundations for social and emotional development.

The preschool program serves three and four year old children. Priority is given to four year old students as they prepare to enter kindergarten. Three year old children are able to attend as space is available. This program is for income qualified families so that we are able to serve those children with the greatest need.

We are proud of the highly engaging, positive and enthusiastic environment that is provided for our children. Our kids thrive in this developmentally appropriate program that allows them learn, play, think and create on a daily basis.

Registration for preschool begins on Monday March 18th. All preschool registration is done at our North Campus office located at 351 School Street (across from the high school). Office hours are 7:00 AM-4:30 PM. The preschool office phone number is 925-473-2370. Please call to find out what documents are required to register your child.

We look forward to serving your family!

MISSION STATEMENT

We strive to provide each child with age and developmentally appropriate activities and experiences to become lifelong, self-directed and self-fulfilled learners. Also, we believe that a parent is a child's first and primary teacher and as a result, numerous opportunities are available on a daily basis for family participation in our programs.
